Celebrating AANHPI Culture: A Panel on Heritage, Community, and Empowerment

This panel discussion is moderated by LaToya Simmons, featuring members of the AANHPI community who share their backgrounds and work in various fields such as education, STEM, music, art, and cultural preservation. Panelists include Alika Spahn Naihe, who works with youth in game design; Leihua Stewart, a recent STEM graduate focusing on place-based education; Alan Z, a musician promoting Asian American history through his work; V Pauahi Souza, an academic studying trauma in Oceanic populations; Kamakakekau Fernandez, a Hawaiian language speaker and musician; and Kanoe Lani, a cultural practitioner and designer. The discussion highlights their efforts to instill community values and identity in the younger generation, offering hope for the future.
